The Crown Act
The CROWN Act is a law that prohibits discrimination based on natural hair texture and hairstyle. It stands for “Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair.” This law helps protect people from being discriminated against in the workplace and in public spaces because of their natural hair textures and hairstyles. It is important to note that many African American, Hispanic, and Middle Eastern cultures embrace these hairstyles. The CROWN Act is an important step forward in the battle against discrimination and racial injustice. It is also a reminder that everyone should be able to express themselves without fear of being judged or treated differently because of their appearance.
